Lean Me is the most advanced and effective energy balancing application available on the iPhone. Divided into five simple tabs for clarity, Lean Me eschews fads and focuses on making the true science of weight loss (or gain) as intuitive as possible.
The Dashboard tab puts the information you need for making great decisions literally at your fingertips. It turns your iPhone into an instrument panel with gauges to help you navigate toward your diet and fitness goals. It opens on the today page, where you’ll find a quick breakdown of your energy consumed and remaining energy budget for the day, along with macro nutrient quantities and ratios, helping you make good diet and exercise decisions throughout the day. Unique to Lean Me, if you use adaptive mode then your energy needs are calculated in real time based on actual exercises performed, capturing the true day-to-day variability in your body’s energy requirements.
The Dashboard also shows your trailing 7-day and 30-day averages to assist in making good diet decisions consistently over time. Getting ready for that late evening snack with just enough room left in today’s energy budget? You might opt to forgo it if you notice that you’re slightly over budget for the last 7-days logged. At the bottom of the 7-day and 30-day averages pages you’ll also find the total energy deficit that you have accrued up over that period.
For a visual representation of what all those good diet decisions lead to in the long-run, the Dashboard also provides you with graphs of your body weight, lean body mass, and total body fat. Tap anywhere on the graph and the indicator bar will automatically snap to the closest data point and provide you with the date the data was entered, the absolute value on that day, and both the absolute and relative differences between that data point and the most recent prior data point.
